You can delete everything Mealkit holds about you, whether or not you ever created an account. Here is how, and exactly what happens.
Open Mealkit → Settings → Delete Account, then confirm. Your account and its data are queued for deletion immediately.
You still have a deletion right. Two options:
Email [email protected] with the subject line "Delete my Mealkit data", sent from the email address associated with your Apple sign-in, or including your anonymous identifier if you used Mealkit without an account. We will verify the request, delete your data, and confirm by email.
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Account and authentication record | Removed from active systems within 30 days |
| Saved kitchen, ingredients, recipes, favorites | Removed from active systems within 30 days |
| Dietary and allergy preferences | Removed from active systems within 30 days |
| Anonymous device identifier and its linked data | Removed from active systems within 30 days |
| Photos of your fridge, counter, pantry, or receipts | Never stored, so there is nothing to delete |
Be honest about backups
After deletion from our active systems, copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before they are overwritten on our normal rotation. We do not restore deleted data from backups except during a full disaster recovery.
Important
Deleting your data does not cancel your subscription, and deleting the App does not cancel it either. Cancel in your device Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions, or you will continue to be billed. Refunds are issued only by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
